Brenda Sue Allen, 77, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Bloomington, Indiana at Bloomington Hospital.


She was born July 20, 1940 in Depauw, Indiana and graduated from North Central High School.  She moved to Bloomington, Indiana and worked and retired from G.E. on the refrigeration line after 30 years.  She was a member of House of Prayer for 5 years and a life-long member of the Milltown Southern Baptist Church.  She held Jesus especially close to her heart.


She was especially close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren which were her life. 

She was a lover of animals, especially cats.  There wasn’t a cat that she didn’t want to take home with her to love.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe E. and Emily E. Stonecipher Thompson; her beloved daughter, Laura J. Allen; and an aunt, Anna Mae Ransdell.


She is survived by her brothers and sisters:  Joe Thompson, Jr., of Phoenix, Arizona, Frank Thompson (Connie) of Milltown, IN, and Scott Thompson of Depauw, IN; Peggy Weber of Madison, IN, Linda Calabris (Jim) of Madison, IN, Jeanne Timberlake (Steve) of Corydon, IN, Donna Carter (Gary) of Brandenburg, KY, Penny Brown of Depauw, IN, and Debbie Rowe (Don) of Louisville,KY; grandsons with whom she resided:  Nick Finch and Mike Finch (Christina Kinser), and 7 great-grandchildren:  Christopher, Austin, Dylan, Victoria, Emily, Alex, and Cody all of Bloomington, IN.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN and after 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Milltown Baptist Church. 


Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Milltown Baptist Church.  Bro. Lloyd B. Roberts will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.


Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
