Ada M. (Thomas) Campbell

Ada M. (Thomas) Campbell, 83, of Birdseye, Indiana passed away on April 16, 2023 at Memorial Hospital and Health Services in Jasper, Indiana.  Ada was born on August 20, 1939 in Borden, Indiana to the late George Ray and Agnes (Crawley) Thomas.

She was owner/operator of the Snack Shack in Taswell, Indiana with her husband, Coy.  Ada was known as being a great cook and people would come from far and wide to enjoy her coconut cream pies.  She considered her customers as part of her extended family.  Ada was a member of the Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Campbell; three sisters:  Doris Thomas Pierce, Carol Thomas and Thelma Thomas Sims; and brothers:  Glenn and George Thomas.

She is survived by sons:  Arnold (Teresa), Darrell, and Danny Campbell all of Birdseye, Indiana; daughters, Gladys Wilkes (Rick) of Birdseye, Indiana and Glenna Byrum (Doug) of English, Indiana; brothers, Bill Thomas of Henryville, Indiana and Jim Thomas of Kentucky; sisters:  Linda S. Watts of Taswell, Indiana, Judy Thomas of Marengo, Indiana, Kay Thomas Darnell and Vicki Thomas both of New Albany, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the Taswell Cemetery.

Bruce Newton will officiate the service.
