Alan Ray Line

Alan Ray Line, 74, of Marengo, Indiana died on November 5, 2024 at his residence.  Alan was born on October 18, 1950 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Earl Ray and Rebecca Ann (Totten) Line.  He married Sherry Diane Seacat on March 7, 1970.

Alan was a  retired pipe fitter for B.F. Goodrich.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during Vietnam.  He was a member of the Marengo Christian Church, Milltown American Legion Post #332, and Marengo Masonic Lodge #475.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and IU Basketball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Melvin Line.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Line of Marengo, Indiana; son, Jason A. Line of Corydon, Indiana; daughters, Kimberley A. Line of Taswell, Indiana and Amy J. Jellison (Kerry) of Marengo, Indiana; brothers, Don Line of Milltown, Indiana and Ron Line of Marengo, Indiana; grandchildren, Dakota Brown, Jordan and Zach Jellison, Haley and Jaden Line; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Valeene Cemetery.  Military honors will be performed at the cemetery by the Milltown American Legion Post #332 and by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, all at the funeral home.

Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate the service.

Masonic Rites will be on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.  They will be conducted by the Marengo Masonic Lodge #475.
