Alice M. (Scott) Walker

Alice M. (Scott) Walker, 75, of Marengo, Indiana died on June 27, 2022 at her home in Marengo, Indiana.  She was born on June 26, 1947 in Marengo, Indiana to Anna Lee (Allen) Apple- she survives.

Alice was a former school bus driver for 44 years for the Crawford County School Corporation and a farm operator with family and friends for over 50 years.  Alice was a member of the former Marengo Order of the Eastern Star.

Alice married Billy Jo Walker on March 12, 1965. They were married for 57 years and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2021.  Alice was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Alice is survived by her mother Anna Lee (Allen) Apple of Paoli, Indiana; her daughter Kathy Jo House (Danny) of Marengo, Indiana; grandsons Ryan Lee Griffith (Jess) of Marengo, Indiana and Anthony Tyler Griffith (Madison) of Fairfield, Connecticut; step-grandchildren Jonathan House (Sarah) of Milltown, Indiana and Heidi Morris (Larry) of Alton, Indiana; step-great-grandchildren Riley and Raelyn House, Conner and Wyatt Morris, and Ethan Hopper; brother Thomas “Bub” Scott  (Diane) of Paoli, Indiana; sister Susan E. Nalley of Paoli, Indiana; half sisters Amy Gowan (Ronnie), Lisa Kameda (Scott), and Laura Harkness (Mike) all of Paoli, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. and after 12:00 p.m. until time of the service on Friday, all at the funeral home.

Pastor Kim Allen will officiate the service.

Memorial contributions can be given to the Boys and Girls Club of Crawford County.
