Betty J. (Green) Pierson

Betty J. (Green) Pierson, 89, of Marengo, Indiana died on June 7, 2024 at her residence in Marengo, Indiana.  She was born on February 25, 1935 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Ernest R. and Martha J. (Poe) Green.  

She was a homemaker, where she loved baking and cooking.  She was an avid doll collector and was a member of the Marengo Independent Methodist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Lynn Pierson; daughter, Tamela Jane Boring; and siblings, Gene Archibald, Joy Grant, and Lois Duke.

She is survived by her husband, John Robert “Bob” Pierson of Marengo, Indiana; son, Todd R. Pierson(Vicki) of Santa Claus, Indiana; daughter, Belinda L. Bell (Randy) of French Lick, Indiana; brother, Bud Green of Portsmouth, Ohio; grandchildren:  Christina, Jenny, Jason, Justin, Mariah, Haley, Bailey, and Megan; great-grandchildren:  Shanda, Summer, Riley, Skylar, Pierson, Cohen, and Carla; and great-great-grandchildren, Gwen and Jonah.

A memorial service will be on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the Marengo Independent Methodist Church.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until time of the service at 4:00 pm, at the church.
