Carl. M. Linton, 76, of North Fort Myers, FL formerly of Crawford County, Indiana, died on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on June 9, 1938 in Crawford County, IN to the late Carl W. and Myrtle Jones Linton.
He was clerk and switch operator for Conrail, which is now the Louisville and Indiana Railroad. He was a graduate of the 1957 class of the Marengo High School and was a member of the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message. He loved sports and played basketball, softball, and shuffleboard.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jewel Darlene Linton, a brother, Loren Dunn, and sisters, Audna Bowman and Marie Lucille Dunn.
He is survived by a son, David (Tamara) Linton of Winter Springs, FL; a daughter, Sandra (Timothy L.) Keith of Alva, FL; sisters, Helen Atkins of Marengo, IN and Cindy Montoya of Fort Knox, KY; grandchildren, Brittany D. and Justin C. Linton, Amanda R. and Steven L. Keith, Kyle (Sarah) Mallet, and Kari (Dustin) Makepeace; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Bradley Mallet and Makayla Makepeace.
The funeral service will be on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, IN.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015 and after 12:00 noon until time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Timothy L. Keith will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Mathers Chapel Cemetery near English, IN.
