David O. Flener

 David Odell Flener, 72, of Milltown, Indiana passed away on April 6, 2023.  He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend.  David was born on July 15, 1950 in Corydon, Indiana to the late Delmer and Joyce Flener.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters:  Loyd D., Delmer Jr., Thelma Proctor, Judy McIntire, Linda Flickner, and his son Chris Clee.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Flener; daughters, Mary Clee, Jeana Hopkins (Jarrod), Misty Wakeland (Jason); step-children, Jim Miller (Lisa), John Miller, Julie Hamm (Myron), Traci Shuler  (Larry); 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Deana Stonecipher, Marcella Hensley, and Teresa Woertz.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Thompson Chapel Cemetery near Depauw, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 8, 2023 after 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Bro. David Davis will officiate the service.
