David L. Rothrock

David L. Rothrock, 80, of Milltown, Indiana passed from this life on August 20, 2024 at Indian Creek Healthcare.  David was born on January 27, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Ralph and Mary Jean (Somerville) Rothrock.

David was a former employee with General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during Vietnam and was stationed in Alaska, California, Texas, and Ohio.  He was a member of the Milltown Christian Church.

David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Mae (Jones) Rothrock; and a son-in-law, Randy Jessie.

David is survived by his son, David D. Rothrock (Melissa); daughter, Rhonda S. Jessie; brothers, Ed, Keith, and Dan Rothrock; sisters, Kathy Delaney and Donna Barksdale; grandchildren:  Ryan (Nakara), Elizabeth, Alyssa (Steven), Emily (Chris) and Ellen; and great-grandchildren:  Tyler, Cameron, Kayla, and Ellie.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.

Chaplain George Payocong will officiate the service.
