Delbert Wilson Atkins

Delbert Wilson Atkins, 80, of Taswell, Indiana died on October 20, 2022 at his residence.  Delbert was born on December 15, 1941 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Gido Delbert and Dorothy Maye (Downey) Atkins.

Delbert was a driller for an oil company and attended Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church.  He was a former Amateur Radio Operator, a former cub master and committee chairman for the Boy Scouts, a former dive master and served in ski patrol for Paoli Peaks, and a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife, Judy K. (Enlow) Atkins; sons, David W. Atkins (Dina) of Corydon, Indiana and Daniel D. Atkins (Jody) of Paoli, Indiana; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Weisheit (Brian) of Jasper, Indiana, and grandchildren, Noah, Carter, Cameron, Kylee, Alyssa, Athena, and Artemis.

Graveside services will be on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highfill Chapel Cemetery near Taswell, Indiana.

Pastor Marcia Dodge will officiate the service.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
