Earl Franklin Bowman, 84, of Sulphur, Indiana passed from this life on March 5, 2025 at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Indiana. Earl Franklin was born on April 21, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Gilbert A. Bowman and Pauline Earl (Stepro) Kost.
Frank was a former truck driver for CW Transport and Holland Transport. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints- Marengo, Indiana and Teamsters Local #89.
He was an avid Nascar Fan and Sports Fan. He was a collector of knives and owls.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Bowman of Sulphur, Indiana; daughters, JoAnna Allen (Fred) of Georgetown, Indiana and Traci L. McKee (William) of Booneville, Indiana; grandchildren, Amanda Marsal, Ashlee Morris, Alyssa Modlin, and Alaina Egle; and great-grandchildren, Dante Marsal, Darin Marsal, Dilan Marsal, Arabella Morris, Kaylee Morris, and Colson Egle; and sisters, Barb Day and Dana Kost both of Terre Haute, Indiana.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4027 E. Goodman Ridge Road, Marengo, Indiana 47140. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery near Sulphur, Indiana.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m., at the church.
Branch President Rick Jones and Mike Sketo will preside over the service.
Casket Bearers will be Marcos Marsal, Doug Morris, Cliff Egle, Nick Modlin, Dante Marsal, Dilan Marsal, and Darin Marsal.
Memorial contributions may be given to Crawford County United Ministries- Food Bank, P.O. Box 133, Marengo, Indiana 47140 and/or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.
