Earl Harris, 79, of Marengo, Indiana died at his residence on March 7, 2025. Earl was born on December 2, 1945 in Central Barren, Indiana to the late Cecil and Gracie (Adams) Harris. He married Helen L. Colber on March 6, 1965.
Earl was former owner and operator of Harris Construction. He was a member of the Little Mission Church near Hardinsburg, Indiana. During his younger years, he enjoyed working on cars, building furniture, and doing woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cecil, James, and Mike Harris; and a sister, Joanie Hacker.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen L. Harris; son, Billy J. Harris (Mindy) of Milltown, Indiana; daughter, Renita McMonigle (Jim) of Marengo, Indiana; grandchildren, Durham Harris of Bloomington, Indiana, Ethan McMonigle of Marengo, Indiana, Derek Harris of Bloomington, Indiana, and Emily McMonigle of Marengo, Indiana; brothers, Larry and Joe Harris both of New Salisbury, Indiana and Harold Harris of Jeffersonville, Indiana; sisters, Marie Bolen, Mary Ann Bary, and Louise Harris all of New Salisbury, Indiana, and Donna Harris of Jasper, Indiana.
Funeral services will be on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Mission Church, 5226 S. County Road 640 E., Hardinsburg, Indiana 47125. Interment will follow in the Mathers Chapel Cemetery near English, Indiana.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. EDT and on Monday, March 10, 2025 after 9:00 am until the service time at 11:00 am EDT, all at the Little Mission Church.
Bro. George Key will officiate the service.
