Edith S. (Edie) LaDuke, 88, of Marengo, Indiana, formerly Louisville, Kentucky, died on August 11, 2021 at Paoli Health and Living. She was born on June 11, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Bessie (Shake) Cornell.
Edie was a U.S. Postal Carrier in Louisville, Kentucky for several years and at that time was Louisville’s only woman carrier. She was a member of the Valeene Christian Church and Carefree Christian’s Missionary Church. She was a member Indiana Unversity Alumni Association, Stories Inc., and was a free lance writer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth L. LaDuke; son, Thomas Bradley; a daughter, Teresa Morris; daughter-in-law, Debora Bradley; brothers: Tommy Cornell, Guy Cornell Jr., and Robert Cornell; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by sons: Richard Bradley of Orleans, Indiana, Steve Bradley (Ha) of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Bill Bradley (Rhonda) of Marengo, Indiana; sister, Sue Shelburne of Shelbyville, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Carefree Christians Missionary Church, 7444 S. State Road 66, Leavenworth, Indiana 47137. Interment will be private at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the church.
Bro. Morris Larimore and Bro. Bob Moore will officiate the service.
