Elizabeth A. (Preston) "Betty" Moore

Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Preston) Moore, 77, of Marengo, Indiana died on June 15, 2023 at Baptist Health- Floyd.  Betty was born on December 11, 1945 in Springfield, Illinois to the late Ralph and Mildred (Beams) Preston.

Betty was a former executive housekeeper of the Holiday Inn.  She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Rockwood, Tennessee and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She enjoyed fishing, cooking and gathering at the Beams Annual Family Reunion.

She was preceded by her parents; a son, Mark R. Hollis; daughter, Anita I. Hollis; and brothers, Norman and Johnny Preston.

She is survived by her sons:  Michael L. Hollis (Dana) of North Vernon, Indiana and Matthew L. Hollis (Sharlyn) of English, Indiana; daughters, Barbara G. Baker of Rockwood, Tennessee and Debbie J. Brock of English, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Roger Preston of Milltown, Indiana.

The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will be on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, all at the Brown Funeral Home.

Father Fred Dennison will officiate the funeral mass.
