Ellen L. (Bullington) Bell

Ellen L. (Bullington) Bell, 94, of Marengo, Indiana passed from this life on January 21, 2026 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana. Ellen was born on September 8, 1931 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Barrett Bullington and Emma Sprinkle Stroud.

 Ellen was a homemaker and a member of the Marengo Independent Methodist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and raising flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Hardesty (Bobby) of New Albany, Indiana; grandchildren, Daniel Hardesty (Bridget) and Kimberly Hesting (Tim) of New Albany, Indiana; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd O. Bell; son, Michael “Mike” Bell; brother, Leslie Bullington; and a sister, Ina Duncan.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Marengo Independent Methodist Church, 1449 N. Hardy Road, Marengo, Indiana  47140.  Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana 47145 and after 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the church.

Pastor Tim Jellison will officiate the service.
