Elsie M. (Henson) Mellett

Elsie M. (Henson) Mellett, 97, of Milltown, Indiana, died on November 9, 2022 at Peggy’s Elder Care near Taswell, Indiana.  Elsie was born on December 13, 1924 in Dartford, England.

Elsie came to the United States from England around 1945.  She was a secretary, bookkeeper, and seamstress. She enjoyed living on the farm, raising Black Angus Cattle, running beagle hounds, sewing, and cooking.  She was of the Christian Faith.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Samuel J. Mellett; son Edwin Warren Mellett; brother Bernard Henson; and 8 sisters.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Mellett (Teresa) of Milltown, Indiana; a daughter-in-law, Sue Mellett; and grandchildren, Matthew Tobias Mellett and Joseph Mellett.

Cremation was chosen, following Elsie’s request.  There will be no services.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
