Elsie F. (Montgomery) Reed

Elsie F. (Montgomery) Reed, 87, of Eckerty, Indiana died on December 15, 2020 at The Timbers of Jasper.  She was born on September 16, 1933 in Taswell, Indiana to the late George “Babe” and Minnie Fern (Brown) Montgomery. 

She was a homemaker and attended Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Reed; a daughter Joanne Enlow; brothers Charles, Mons, Harvey, Russ, George, Hershell, and an infant brother Willie Gene Montgomery.

She is survived by her sons Thurman Reed of Eckerty, Indiana and Tom Reed of Huntingburg, Indiana; daughters Linda Haager of Stewart, Florida and Marla Wilkerson of English, Indiana; and grandchildren:  TL Bough, Emma Webster, Mike Reed, Tennille Siddons, Matthew Reed, Jon Reed, Payten Wilkerson, and Jessica Keeling, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Eckerty Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 11:00 am until time of the service at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home.
