Ernest D. Smith

Ernest D. Smith, 89, of Sulphur, Indiana died on October 3, 2020 at Harrison Healthcare in Corydon, Indiana.  He was born on August 3, 1931 in Sulphur, Indiana to the late William Louis and Mabel (Johnston) Smith.

He was a former director of construction, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, and a member of the Carefree Christian’s Missionary Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife:  Patsy L. (Jackson) Smith; brothers:  William L., Clifford M., and James H. Smith.

He is survived by his sons:  Clifford D. Smith (Gayle) and John E. Smith (Rita) both of Sulphur, Indiana; daughter:  Teresa L. Williams (Gerald David) of Corydon, Indiana; sister:  Bonnie J. Allinger of Sulphur, Indiana; grandchildren:  Chad M. Smith, Amanda Meyers, Lauren Smith, and Ethan Smith; and great-grandchildren:  Hunter Smith, Elisha Kendall, and Micaiah Meyers.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11:30 am at the Riddle Cemetery.

Bro. Morris Larimore will officiate the service.
