Ethel C. (Gavin) Batman

Ethel C. (Gavin) Batman, 81, of Palmyra, Indiana died on October 22, 2024 at her home.  Ethel was born on February 10, 1943 in Morgan County, Ohio to the late John W. and Elsie M. (Thomas) Gavin.

Ethel was a former food coordinator for Marengo Housing.  She was a member of the Christian Missionary Church in New Salisbury, Indiana; VFW Women's Auxiliary #4713 in Malta, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald R. Batman; son, Brandon Dye; daughter, Donna Thomas; sisters, Dorothy Houpt and Pat Knox.

She is survived by her son, Brent A. Hensley (Renee) of Corydon, Indiana; daughters, Beth Ann Rodewig (Mike) of New Albany, Indiana, Rebecca J. Allee (Jeff) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Bobbi S. Linker (Greg) of Corydon, Indiana; brother, John “Jack” Gavin (Marilyn) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 27, 2024 after 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m., all at the funeral home.

Bro. John Hall and Bro. Eric Satterfield will officiate the service.
