Eva Preston Obituary

Eva Dawn (Lindley) Preston, 59, of Marengo, Indiana died on April 13, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her children.  Dawn was born on November 3, 1965 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James A. Lindley III and Brenda K. (Parks) Busick.


Dawn enjoyed spending time outside and gardening.  She was an avid dog lover and couldn’t stand to see a living creature go hungry.  She loved visiting with her grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents and longtime companion, Micheal Dooley.


She is survived by her son, Travis L. Preston; daughters, Tasha K. Preston-Quinn (Christopher) and Heather M. Preston-Higdon (Daniel); brother, James Scott Lindley; sisters, Kim R. Harned (James), Tammye Busick, and Alyson Mark (Thomas); and grandchildren, Jayden E. Baker ( Grace), Brier Baker (Makena), and Jullian Preston (Lily), Daniel Quinn, Jaxon Quinn, Brycen Stevens, and Ava Wallace; and two great grandchildren, Zayden and Easton.


Funeral services will be on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana  47145.  Bro. Paul Walerczak will officiate the service.


Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.


Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home, In lieu of flowers, to help with the cost of the funeral expenses.


Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
