Fleta Margaret (Atkins) Garris

Fleta Margaret (Atkins) Garris, 87, of Birdseye, Indiana died on January 18, 2022 at the home of her daughter, Fleta Knox.  She was born on July 17, 1934 in Pekin, Indiana to the late Edwin and Ethel (Blevins) Atkins.

She was a homemaker and was of the Christian Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Cody Keck.  

She is survived by her sons:  Ernest Keck of Taswell, Indiana and Robert Keck of Marengo, Indiana; daughters, Theresa Adams of Corydon, Indiana, Debbie Sinclair of Birdseye, Indiana, and Fleta Knox of Birdseye, Indiana; sister, Geneva Jackson of Salem, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Depauw, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Bro. Philo Jones will officiate the service.
