Gary Cochran Obituary

Gary K. Cochran, 62, of Depauw, Indiana passed from this life on October 8, 2025 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  Gary was born on July 27, 1963 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Richard W. and Elizabeth Myrtle (Watson) Cochran.

 

Gary was a handyman and farmhand.  He was a member of the Marengo American Legion Post #84, Sons of the American Legion.  Gary enjoyed farm work and when he wasn’t working on the farm, he enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool and bowling.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Hallie L. Bean (Christian) of Mitchell, Indiana; companion, Therese Webb of Corydon, Indiana; brother, Roger Cochran of Greenwood, Indiana; sisters, Carolyn S. Jenkins of Greenwood, Indiana and Pamela K. Barnes (Tom) of Corydon, Indiana; grandchildren, Carson Xavier Bean and Cayde Xander Bean.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers:  Bill, David, Kenny, Ronnie, Donnie and Jimmy Cochran; and a sister, Shirley Atwood.

 

Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Everdon Cemetery near Carefree, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

 

Memorial contributions may be given to:  American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, Virginia  22116-7023 and/or American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas  75284-0692.
