Georgia Dee (Harris) Colin, 95, of New Albany, Indiana died on October 19, 2023 at her residence. Georgia was born on March 16, 1928 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Dee and Hilda (Moore) Harris.
Georgia was a former line worker for Colgate-Palmolive and a homemaker. She was a member of the former Milltown United Methodist Church, a member of the Living Word Bible Study group that was held at the Graceland Baptist Church, past member of the Milltown American Legion Post #332 Women’s Auxiliary, a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, member of the Colgate Retirees, and a 1946 graduate of the Milltown High School.
Georgia enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, playing the piano, embroidery, raising flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald W. Colin.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Nancy A. Kerstiens (Jerry) and Patricia Stilwell (Mark) both of New Albany, Indiana, and Rebecca Timperman (Lawrence) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; grandchildren: Julie Paschal (Derek), Michael Kerstiens, Christopher Timperman (Sydnie), and Andrea Timperman (Jonathan Hernandez); and great-grandchildren: Andrew Paschal, Claire Paschal, Sophia, Ariana, and Isabella Timperman, and 1 great-grandson on the way.
The funeral service will be on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2-6 p.m. and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, all at the funeral home.
Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate the service.
