Hannah E. (Jones) "Granny" Gilliland

Hannah E. (Jones) Gilliland, known as “Granny” 102, died on July 16, 2021 at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Indiana.  Hannah was born on June 20, 1919 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Johnson and Rachel (Pierce) Jones.

Hannah was a former homemaker and a nurse’s aide and a member of the former Order of the Eastern Star in English, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon G. Gilliland; sons:  Douglas Patrick, Tim, and John Gilliland; and a granddaughter, Patty Lynn Gilliland.

She is survived by her son, Frankie N. Gilliland (Shirley); daughter-in-law, Annette Gilliland; and grandchildren:  Todd Gilliland (Johnna), Tammy Jellison (Tim), Ryan Gilliland, Gerald (Jack) Gilliland, Amy Krebs (Lance), Jason Gilliland (Julie), Kevin Gilliland, and Alex Gilliland (Danica); 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:30 am at the English Civic Club Building.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
