Irene J. (Messer) Henson

Irene J. (Messer) Henson, 81, of New Salisbury, Indiana died on October 11, 2023 at Baptist Health- Floyd.  Irene was born on March 5, 1942 in Benham, Kentucky to the late Bentley and Beatrice (Meeks) Messer.

Irene was a homemaker and loved to garden, needlepoint, and paint ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arvil Henson; and a son, Arvil James (Jim) Henson.

She is survived by her sons:  Timothy Henson and Kenneth Henson (Malinda); daughters, Jennifer Peters (Raymond) and Consuela Harris (Gary); daughter-in-law, Vicki Henson; brothers, Dale and Jack Messer; sisters, Cookie Reber and Barbara Belcher; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services at this time.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
