Ivan Michael Kibby

Ivan M. Kibby, 27, of New Salisbury, Indiana, died on September 3, 2023 in New Albany, Indiana.  Ivan was born on September 26, 1995 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jill (Rhodes) Eaton.  

Ivan attended North Harrison Schools and graduated from Hoosier Youth Challenge Academy in Knightstown, Indiana  in 2013.  He joined the Army Reserves in 2015.  He did his basic training in Fort Jackson and Fort Lee.  He was a former grill cook and loved drawing, cars, rangers, and loved his son, Waylon.  He was a Christian believer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jill (Rhodes) Eaton; his grandparents, Raymond and Iva Rhodes; his aunt, Shelly (Rhodes) Dukes, and his uncle Tony Rhodes.

He is survived by his son, Waylon Michael Kibby; his sister, Billie Jo (Eaton) Rennirt; nephews, Jaydin and Jerrin Rennirt; his Uncle Johnny and Aunt Carolyn Rhodes who raised him after the death of his mother; and his two aunts, Donna Sherron and Tracey Rhodes.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  

Visitation will be from 1-6 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Bro. Dayton Pinter will officiate the service.

Memorial contributions can be made, In lieu of flowers, to the funeral home to help with the cost of the funeral expenses.
