Jackie R. (Jones) Bullington

Jackie R. (Jones) Bullington, 91, of Marengo, Indiana passed away on May 14, 2024. Jackie was born on September 3, 1932 in Crawford County, Indiana to the late James Ott and Lula (Crecelius) Jones.

Jackie was a homemaker and a dedicated Mammaw. She was a member of Loyal Neighbors and Marengo Christian Church where she held perfect attendance for 81 years. She enjoyed quilting, watching the hummingbirds, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, raising vegetable and flower gardens, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Birkla (Brent) of Marengo, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Dottie Thurman of Marengo, Indiana; grandchildren: Curt Bullington, Dylan Birkla (Jenny), Kayla Jordan (AJ), Brian Bullington (Jennifer) and Lindsey Bullington (Dalton); great-grandchildren: Allisson and Sophie Bullington, Kipton and Denay Birkla, Gwyneth and London Jordan, and Landrick Minton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Bullington; son, Kevin Bullington; granddaughter, Lauren Birkla; brother, H.O. Jones; and sister, Opal Torromeo.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Marengo Christian Church. Interment will follow in the Valeene Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m., at the church. Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate the service.
