James Wilbur Elliott

James Wilbur Elliott, 74, of Grantsburg, Indiana died on April 18, 2022 at his residence.  James was born on February 1, 1948 in Depauw, Indiana to the late Wilbur J. and Golda E. (Judd) Elliott.  

James was retired from Gohmann Asphalt Local # 795.  He was a member of the Posey Lodge F. & A.M. #188 and the Sons of the American Legion #84 in Marengo, Indiana.

James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers:  John, Joe, Andy, Roy, and Frank Elliott; sisters:  Charlotte Ann Elliott, Beth Stroud, and Agnes Higdon Elliott.

James is survived sons:  Duane Elliott of Carefree, Indiana, James William Elliott (Kara) of Rockford, Illinois, Todd Alan Elliott (Traci) of Marengo, Indiana, Rodney Dean Elliott (Patty) of Milltown, Indiana, and Chevy Dale Elliott of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters:  Tama J. Beckman of Eckerty, Indiana and Paige Knable (Brandon) of Marengo, Indiana; brothers:  Ray Elliott of Paoli, Indiana, Roger Elliott and Paul Elliott both of Milltown, Indiana; sisters:  Evelyn Manus of Depauw, Indiana, Alice Stroud of Milltown, Indiana, Lorena Robinson of Marengo, Indiana and Martha Miller of Milltown, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Blue River Church of Christ in Depauw, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm  on Thursday, April 21, 2022, all at the funeral home.

Bro. Toney McCutcheon will officiate the service.
