Obituary

Jean A. (McKim) Smith, 55, of Tell City, Indiana, died on August 23, 2023 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky.  Jean was born on September 3, 1967 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Lora A. (Coleman) McKim and the late Alvin Eugene McKim.

 

She was a member of the Foster’s Ridge Christian Church in Bristow, Indiana.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Eugene McKim and a son, Derek Fieth.

 

She is survived by her mother, Lora A. McKim of Tell City, Indiana; a son, Dalton Madley of French Lick, Indiana; daughters, Heather Crews (Nick) of Taswell, Indiana and Delilah Madley (Michael) of Huntingburg, Indiana; a brother, Robert McKim of Tell City, Indiana; a sister, Charolette McKim of Tell City, Indiana; and grandchildren:  Dominick, Sahara, Zeke, Hannah, Brice, Braelyn, and Alexis.

 

A memorial service will be on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Foster’s Ridge Christian Church in Bristow, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Doolittle Mills Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:00 pm until time of the service at 1:00 pm. 

 

Bro. Bryan Martin will officiate the service.
