Jerry W. Brown Sr.

Jerry W. Brown Sr., 76, of Milltown, Indiana died on February 9, 2022 at the Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leavenworth, Indiana.  Jerry was born on April 23, 1945 in St. Matthews, Kentucky to the late Allen and Sue Ola (Washburn) Brown.

Jerry was a retired diesel mechanic for Uhl Truck Sales and Service in Palmyra, Indiana, former Advanced-EMT for Crawford County Ambulance Service and Harrison County Medical Services.  He was chief deputy coroner for Crawford County Coroner’s Office, former firefighter and first responder for Milltown Fire Department.

He was a member of the Milltown Masonic Lodge #661, was of the Baptist Faith, and was an avid gardner, giving away most of his produce to family and friends, and was an avid fisherman, having traveled to Florida and Kentucky Lake on many fishing trips.

Jerry is survived by his sons:  Jerry W. Brown Jr. (Diane) and Christopher A. Brown both of Milltown, Indiana; brother Richard A. Brown; grandchildren:  Joseph, Jeremiah, Cassandra, Darius, DaShaun, and Sadie; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diane J. (Berkenmeyer) Brown; sisters:  Virginia Hendron, Louise Wright, and Lula Jean Kirk.

Funeral services will be on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Milltown Christian Church.  Rev. Philo Jones and Bro. George Key will officiate the service.  Entombment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 4-8 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana and on Monday from 9:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 am, at the Milltown Christian Church.
