Jesse B. NesSmith, 50, of Depauw, Indiana passed from this life on October 26, 2025 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Jesse was born on December 22, 1974 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Darrell B. NesSmith and Deanna L. (Miller) NesSmith.
Jesse was a truck driver and was formerly employed with Smith Creek. Jesse enjoyed driving any big rig that he was asked to drive. He was a member of the First Capital Christian Church, Marengo Masonic Lodge #475, and Scottish Rite Valley of George Rodgers Clark.
He supported the Florida Gators and would always comment that he bled blue and orange. Jesse enjoyed spending time with family and especially with his daughter, Raylea. If you knew Jesse, you loved him. He had a big heart that was bigger than he was. Jesse loved the Lord and wanted his life to be a testimony.
Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vasco NesSmith, Woodrow and Nina Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Marlea R. NesSmith of Depauw, Indiana; daughter, Raylea J. NesSmith of Depauw, Indiana; father, Darrell B. NesSmith of Corydon, Indiana; mother, Deanna L. NesSmith of Mauckport, Indiana; brother, Reuben NesSmith of Georgetown, Indiana; grandmother, Emma Lou “Honey” NesSmith of Cross City, Florida; 5 nephews and 2 nieces.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at First Capital Christian Church, 305 Oliver Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112. Interment will follow in the Batman Ridge Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, all at First Capital Christian Church, Corydon, Indiana.
Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate the service.
