Joanna B. (Colin) Simon

Joanna B. (Colin) Simon, 94, passed from this life on June 9, 2026 at Baptist Health- Floyd Hospital.  Joanna was born on December 23, 1931 in Depauw, Indiana to the late Oliver Edmund and Mary Olive (Saunders) Colin.

Joanna was a homemaker and enjoyed designing floral arrangements and loved country cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Simon; son, Melvin “Doug” Crecelius; brothers, Donald Wayne and Melvin F. Colin; and a sister, Merlene Marie Henriott.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald W. Crecelius (Tina) of Corydon, Indiana and Harold Glenn Crecelius of Milltown, Indiana; daughter, Janevera Rothenburger (Robert) of Shelbyville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Angela Krucek (David), Mary Jane Cooper (Michael), Joshua G. Crecelius (Sandy), Jesse D. Crecelius, Justin Crecelius, Stephanie Tolbert (Will), Jessica Smith (Ryan), Casey Rothenburger, and Raina Ross (Jim); 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana  47145.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 11, 2026, after 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the St. Bernard Catholic Church Cemetery.

Bro. Chris Brown will officiate the service.
