John Robert (Bob) Pierson

John Robert “Bob” Pierson, 91, of Marengo, Indiana died on January 28, 2025 at the home of his son, Todd.  Bob was born on May 21, 1933 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Carl L. and Sara Ethel (McClure) Pierson.  

Bob was a former production operator for B.F. Goodrich for 40 years. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during Korea. He was a member of the Marengo Independent Methodist Church, Marengo Masonic Lodge #475, and enjoyed fishing in his earlier years and spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty J. Pierson; son, Robert Pierson; daughter, Tammy Boring; brothers, Harmon, Sheldon, Melvin, and Richard Pierson; sisters, Norma Pierson, Lorene Meriwether, Mary Henry, Dorothy Lynch, and Shirley Stephenson; and a grandchild, Terry Bell.

He is survived by his son, Todd R. Pierson (Vicki) of Dale, Indiana; daughter, Belinda Bell (Randy) of Hillham, Indiana; brothers, James M. and Donald G. Pierson; grandchildren, Jason Pierson, Justin Smith, Jenny Pierson, Megan Smith, Mariah Schmidt, Haley White, Bailey Kippenbrock, and Christy Denny.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marengo Independent Methodist Church.  Visitation will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m., at the church.

Bro. Tim Jellison will officiate the service.
