John Henry and Francene Gail (Humphrey) Farmer, passed from this life on August 11, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. John and Francene were married on December 31, 1995.
John was born on August 15, 1949 to the late Byron Carlisle and Grace (Meyer) Farmer. He was a former control center operator for the TECO Power Plant in Florida. He enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and vegetables, and was an avid reader. He was a member of the NRA.
Francene was born on May 2, 1958 to the late Richard and Trellis (Wright) Humphrey. She was a CASA worker and was an artist, having a degree in photography and two dimensional art. She was a member of the women’s auxiliary of the English VFW Post and Community Tabernacle near Leavenworth, Indiana.
They are survived by their children: Keith E. Gettings (Brittany) of Salem, Indiana, John Byron Farmer (Amy) of Spring Hill, Florida, Isaac Leon Farmer of Zephyrhills, Florida, Nathaniel Avery Lex Farmer of Sulphur, Indiana, Rebekah J. Farmer (Sarah Pass) of Dade City, Florida, Jennessa Beckett (Tom Hall) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Tracy M. Clark of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
John is survived by brothers: JC and Dave Farmer. Francene is survived by a brother, Gene Humphrey and sisters, Terri Humphrey and Leslie Sansoni.
Funeral services for John and Francene will be on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the funeral home.
Bro. Chad Stroud will officiate the service.
