Joseph Spalding Obituary

Joseph G. Spalding, 74, of Depauw, Indiana died on March 18, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on May 19, 1947 in Bardstown, Kentucky to the late Dennis W. and Mary B. Spalding.

 

He was a former furniture mover and was of the Catholic Faith.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and loved going to flea markets and yard saling.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Cissel; brothers, Dennis, David, and Rev. Larry Francis Spalding; and a sister, Mary Ann Spalding.

 

He is survived by his wife, Fannie P. Spalding; sons:  James D. Spalding and Zakkary R. Garcia; daughter, Chrissie Ann Spalding (Jackie); brothers, Charles, Jimmy, and Tommy Lee Spalding; sisters, Barbara Wilcox and Matilda Spalding; grandchildren:  Shelby Jo Crecelius, Joseph, Chloe, Theodore, and Felicity Spalding; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Crecelius.

 

Funeral services will be on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the funeral home.
