Joseph L. Woolems, 78, of Corydon, Indiana formerly of Crawford County, Indiana died on April 6, 2024 at his residence. Joseph was born October 31, 1945 near English, Indiana to the late Sherrill and Alma (Beasley) Woolems.
Joseph was a retired Union Carpenter in good standing and was a member of the Tower Full Gospel Church near Carefree, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary (Curl) Woolems; brother, Charlot S. Woolems; and a son-in-law, Brian Anderson.
He is survived by his sons, Todd Woolems (Marina) of Palmyra, Indiana and Bill Woolems (Pam) of Blue Ridge, Virginia; daughter, Sally Jones of New Albany, Indiana; step-son, Russell Merker (Mary) of Eminence, Kentucky; step-daughters, Loretta M. Stauffer (John) of Landis, North Carolina and Karen S. Hughes (Alan) of Corydon, Indiana; brother, Philip Woolems (Linda) of English, Indiana; sister, Susan Reed (Bill) of English, Indiana; grandchildren, Tiffany, Courtney, Nick, Brittany, Shelby, Grace, Ben, Max, Heather, Alanna, Daniel, Stephen; 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Tower Full Gospel Church, 5596 Hwy. 66, English, Indiana 47118. Interment will follow in the El Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, all at the church.
Bro. Doug Phillips will officiate the service.
