Kathy J. (Ivers) Howell

Kathy J. (Ivers) Howell, 71, passed from this life on March 6, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.  Kathy was born on October 13, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John and Marie (Bush) Ivers.

Kathy was a former cook for Todd-Dicky Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Indiana and was a former truck driver.  She enjoyed flower gardening, collecting wind chimes, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny, Jerry, Danny, and Steven Ivers; and a sister, Sue Warden.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Ray Howell; son, Ronnie Coleman (Cindy) of Milltown, Indiana; daughters, Kimberly Drury (Tony) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and Kari Presley (Derrick) of Milltown, Indiana; brother, Bobby Ivers of Riddle; sisters, Peggy Andrews of Fredonia, Indiana and Linda Lynch of Holland, Indiana; grandchildren, Gavin Coleman (Kaitlyn), Preston Coleman (Haylea), Zachary Coleman, Alyssa Reed (Timothy), Kaylin Drury, Stella and Lyla Presley; and great-grandchildren Vincent Coleman and Atlas Coleman.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana  47145.  Interment will follow in the Riddle Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Bro. Paul Walerczak will officiate the service.
