LeRoy Deich

LeRoy Deich, 89, of Eckerty, Indiana died on December 5, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Jasper, Indiana.  LeRoy was born on May 9, 1932 in Eckerty, Indiana to the late Levi and Gladys (Summers) Deich.

LeRoy was a heavy equipment operator for Old Ben Coal Mine in Petersburg, Indiana.  He was a member of the United Mine Workers #0352 and loved working outdoors.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; a son- Robert Wayne Deich; and a sister Mary L. Underhill.

LeRoy is survived by his wife:  Lola E. (Allen) Deich; son- Roger Deich (Sandra) ; daughters:  Deborah Sollman and Annette Gilliland; brother- Coy J. Deich- Lt. Col., Ret.; and grandchildren Shawn M. Deich (Tina), Dustan L. Deich, Jamie R. Deich, Tori L. Deich, April King, Kevin P. Gilliand, and Alex T. Gilliland (Danika); and 6 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and no services at this time, following LeRoy’s wishes.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
