Linda was a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She grew up in Taswell, Indiana and went to English-Sterling High School where she was a graduate of the class of 1966. Later that year, on October 22, she and John Edward Kaiser were married. The pair resided in Columbus, Indiana for a short period of time before returning to Eckerty, Indiana where they settled down permanently.
Linda was briefly a teacher’s aide, then a school bus driver for the Crawford County Community School Corporation for four years. She was then a rural route mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for roughly 26 years until her retirement in 2010.
After her retirement, she was able to fully enjoy her time around her pool, traveling, and spending ample time with her family. Some of her most notable trips include excursions to five European countries, Hawaii, and a roadtrip to numerous western states. For 13 consecutive years, Linda and her fellow classmates of ’66, The Chicks traveled to numerous locations. Linda had a knack for cooking and baking and always provided enough to feed an army. She was also a self-proclaimed grandma-on-call and spoiled her precious grand babies any chance she could.
Linda was a loving mother to two sons, Steven Edward, born August 27, 1968, and Paul Jameison, born December 7, 1970. She was a mother-in-law to Angela (Mattingly) Kaiser, as well as a grandmother to four granddaughters: Christina, Shelby, Katelyn, and Courtney.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, John Edward Kaiser. She is also survived by her two brothers, Warren and David Enlow, a sister, Karen (Enlow) Brown, all of Taswell, Indiana. Her two sons, daughter-in-law, and all four granddaughters are all still surviving. Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jackie Russell and Bonnie (Hollen) Enlow, a nephew, Eric Brown, and sister-in-law, Joann (Reed) Enlow.
