Loice (Bolen) Wood

Loice (Bolen) Wood, 85, of Depauw, Indiana died on November 27, 2024 at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Indiana.  Loice was a former retail clerk for K-Mart and retired as a teacher’s aide from Dekalb County, Georgia School Systems.

Loice attended the former Pilot Knob United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, keeping her house spotless, and loved to dance and listen to music.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger R. Lowe; her first husband, George G. Lowe Jr. (Gibby), her second husband, Julian Steve Wood; sisters, Joyce Mills and Chelsie Miller; brothers, Worley, Winford “Wink”, and Theodore Bolen; niece, Gale Bolen; and nephews, David G. Bolen Jr. and Clint Bolen.

She is survived by her daughters:  Barbara Warren of Pendergrass, Georgia and Michelle Lowe of Depauw, Indiana; grandchildren, Valerie Patrick of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Vincent Patrick of Hamilton, Ohio; brothers, Carl Bolen of Winamac, Indiana and David Bolen of Bradenburg, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Thompson Chapel Cemetery near Depauw, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024, after 11:00a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Bro. Tim Jellison will officiate the service.
