Margaret J. (Rice) Diaz

Margaret J. (Rice) Diaz, 87, of Milltown, Indiana died on February 17, 2025 at her home.  Margaret was born on December 31, 1937 in Edinburgh, Indiana to the late Lewis and Doris (Chandler) Rice.

She was a former soil tester at a nursery center in Florida.  She was a member of Liberty View Church near Milltown, Indiana.  She enjoyed studying and reading God’s word and read through the Bible over 40 times.  She enjoyed crocheting and arranging flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lewis, Charles, and Wayne Rice; and a sister, Beverly Doty.

She is survived by her son, Randall Wilson of Milltown, Indiana; daughters, Connie Doan (Daniel) of Palmyra, Indiana, Kim Hazen of Lanesville, Indiana, Tammy Crecelius (Steve) of Fredericksburg, Indiana, and Diane Wilson of Milltown, Indiana; sister, Phyllis Rice of Scottsburg, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Tunnel Hill Cemetery near Edwardsville, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, all at the funeral home.

Bro. Sam Bockting will officiate the service.
