Mark Alan Sturgeon

Mark Alan Sturgeon, 63, of Orleans, Indiana died on July 8, 2023 at his residence.  Mark was born on September 23, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Bobby L. and Norma R. (Allen) Sturgeon.  

Mark was a former laborer for Foamcraft, Inc. in Mitchell, Indiana.  He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of ABATE.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, flowers, and being with his family.

He is survived by his companion, Peggy Maudlin of Orleans; stepchildren, Danielle Anderson of Paoli and Jeffrey Anderson of Bedford, Indiana; sisters, Debbie Oxley of Eckerty, Indiana, Terry Andry (Eddie) of Birdseye, Indiana, and Lisa Sturgeon of English, Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Sturgeon; and a brother-in-law, Evan Oxley.

Funeral services will be on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Wickliffe Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of the service at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pastor Kim Jellison Allen will officiate the service.

Casket Bearers will be Rob Cooper, Kade Oxley, Cody Cummings, Jeffrey Anderson, Spencer Enlow, Christian Montgomery, Issaiah Montgomery, and Keegan Mushinski.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses.
