Mary Myrtle (Greenwell) Harned

Mary Myrtle (Greenwell) Harned, 96, of Milltown, Indiana died on October 15, 2023 at University of Louisville Hospital.  Myrtle was born on November 9, 1926 near Springfield, Kentucky to the late Everett and Mary Effie (Miles) Greenwell.  

Myrtle was a homemaker and a wonderful mother.  She was of the Catholic Faith and loved to raise flowers, go to yard sales and flea markets, collect dolls and was an avid John Wayne fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion Harned; a son, Ray Harned; and brothers:  Bubby, Bobby, and Borgie Greenwell.

She is survived by her sons:  Stanley Harned (Vinda), David Harned, Mark Harned, and Jimmy Harned (Kim); daughters:  Patricia “Pettie” Hardy (Kenny) and Cindy Love (Sam); daughter-in-law, Robin Harned; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, all at the funeral home.

Bro. Jason Sturgeon will officiate the service.
