Mary Anita (Harper) Larimore

Mary Anita (Harper) Larimore of Marengo, Indiana, daughter of the late Bill and Macel (Poe) Harper was born on January 19, 1939, in Marengo, Indiana, and went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2022.

She was the youngest of three daughters and attended Marengo High School. She enjoyed being a cheerleader for the Marengo Cavemen. She was married to Morris Larimore for 64 years and was very proud to be a minister’s wife spanning 54 years. She started working when she was a teenager for Fancher’s store, and she ironed clothing for local customers from her home.

She loved her family dearly as well as her church family. She loved sending cards and she made everyone that she came in contact with feel important and loved.

Mary Anita is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Morris and sister, Evelyn Gayle Jackson.

She is survived by sons, Vernon Wayne Larimore (Debby) and Mike Larimore (Pam) all of Marengo; Sister, Edith Marilyn Key of Marengo; Grandchildren: Jennifer Wagner (Aaron), Chad Larimore (Amanda), Kaci Hendricks (Jeremy), Stephanie Rhoads (Michael) and Dylan Larimore; Great Grandchildren: Ashlynn Larimore, Emma Hendricks, Leopold Wagner, Garrett Hendricks, Mattaeus Wagner, Olivia Rhoads, Owen Rhoads, Oxley Rhoads, and soon to be born Khalliope Wrenn Wagner.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christians’ Missionary Church, 7444 S. State Road 66, Leavenworth, Indiana 47137.  Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m., all at the church.

Bro. Randy Coleman will officiate the service.
