Michael Wayne Grunden

Michael Wayne “Mike” Grunden, 65, of Marengo, Indiana passed from this life on May 30, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 20, 1961 to the late Loren Grunden and Emma (Dukes) Grunden in Harrison County, Indiana.

He was a semi driver and drove for many years.  He previously worked at Robertson Quarry, Hi-Rock Quarry, and the Crawford County Highway Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda Grunden; his stepsons, Matthew and Daniel Nale; and his sister, Karen Key.

He is survived by his children, Josh Grunden (Andrea) of Marengo, Indiana, Jennifer Brooks (Jason) of English, and Trish Grunden of Marengo, and a stepson Michael Nale of Corydon; granddaughters, Ella Grunden, Josslyn Grunden, Gaby Mills, and Gracie Mills; his sisters:  Bobbi Powell (James) of Dubois, Vicky Condra (Kevin) of Paoli, and Andi Dearborn (Bobby) of Marengo; his brothers, Denny Grunden (Donna) of Milltown, and Brian Grunden (Christie) of Marengo, and countless nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
