Mildred F. (Dunn) Bernard

Mildred F. (Dunn) Bernard, 79, of Marengo, Indiana died on December 13, 2022 at IU Bloomington Hospital.  Mildred was born on April 8, 1943 in English, Indiana to the late Rufus Dunn and Clara Belle (Satterfield) Miller.

Mildred was a homemaker and loved playing Bingo, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Bernard; sons:  John C. Bernard and William “Billy” Bernard; and a grandchild, John William Bernard.

She is survived by her sons James Bernard of Troy, Indiana, Danny Whitney of Corydon, Indiana, Carleton Bernard of Marengo, Indiana, and Dwayne Bernard of English, Indiana; daughter Mary E. Sheckells of English, Indiana; sister Carolyn Enlow of Fredonia, Indiana; grandchildren Cody, Lisa, and Jake Sheckells, DJ Whitney, Carolina, Brieann, and Danielle Sheridan, Canaan, Bella, Gavin, Grayson, Gage, Chelsea, James Charles, and Justin Trey Bernard; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Kristen, and Jayden Phipps, Jaxon and Avery Sheckells.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Leavenworth Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home.
