Norma L. (Dukes) Bright

Norma L. (Dukes) Bright, 90, of Milltown, Indiana passed from this life to receive her heavenly reward on November 1, 2024 at her residence.  Norma was born on April 12, 1934 in Milltown, Indiana to the late James Ollo and Ella F. (Durham) Dukes.

Norma was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Blue River Baptist Church and the Rook Club.  She enjoyed playing cards on the computer and working seek and find word books.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and researching her family genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. "Bob" Bright; son, Allen “Syd” Stamper; daughter, Tammy Bradley; and siblings:  Virginia Linnie, John Dukes, Bill Duke, Roberta Barnwell , Carmen Elliott, and Dorothy Clark.

She is survived by her son and caretaker:  Norman E. Adamson (Rebecca); son, Jimmy D. Adamson (Stephanie); step-son, Jr Bright (Gayla); son-in-law:  Tim N. Bradley; step-daughter, Robin Slattery; brothers:  Jim Dukes and William “Butch” Dukes; sister, Lula Mae VanWinkle; extended family, Nancy Clark and Henry Borders; grandchildren:  Sherri Hanger, Kasey Melvin, Nicole Neal, Brandy Adamson, Megan Hunter, Danielle Manship, Dustin Garrett, Josh Chanley, Kristin Adamson, Jr Adamson, Stephanie Bailey, William Nicholson, and Michael Nicholson; 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; step grandchildren, Dale Bright, Justin Bright, Kaylin Bright, Derrick Singleton, Daniel Slattery, and Stephanie Gognat.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, all at the funeral home.

Bro. Mark Manship will officiate the service.
