Paul K. Young Sr.

Paul K. Young, Sr., 84, of Milltown, Indiana passed away at his home on Saturday, October 21, 2023, surrounded by his family.  Paul was born on December 14, 1938 in Charlestown, Indiana to the late Earl Thomas and Dora E. (Childers) Young.

Paul was a United States Army retired veteran, having served in the Korean War.  He was a pipe fitter, mechanic, and a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Paul K. Young, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary E. (Slaughterback) Young.  His six children:  Betty Waters, Kathy Sullender (Rob), Karen Freeberg (Kevin), Kevin Young (Shelly), Judy Davis (Paul), Steven Young (Tracey).  Proud grandpa and loved by all 13, Jeremy Meredith, Cherie Cotton, Isaac Sullender, Emily Sullender, Katie Freeberg, Kristopher Freeberg, Devin Young, Jalisa Wilkes, Ty Young, Josey Reas, Samantha Dehn, Dominic Young, Alexander Paul Young and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. A private family burial will follow after the service.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, after 11:00 am until time of the service, all at the funeral home.

Rev. Philo Jones will officiate the service.

There will be a celebration of life at his son and daughter-in-law’s Kevin and Shelly’s house located at 3533 N. State Road 37, English, Indiana  47118, following the services at 4:00 p.m.
