Penny Pitman Obituary

Penny S. (Summers) Pitman, 65, of Depauw, Indiana died on March 26, 2020 at Baptist Health-Floyd. She was born on June 22, 1954 in Fort Riley, Kansas to Herman L. Summers and the late June P. (Bowman) Summers.

She was a para professional for the Crawford County Middle School. She was a member of the Milltown Christian Church and a former member of the Milltown Parks Board.

She was preceded in death by her mother, June Summers.

She is survived by her husband: Richard D. (Rick) Pitman of Depauw, IN; father, Herman L. Summers of Milltown, IN; sons: Matthew L. Pitman of Corydon, IN, Kevin Pitman (Carolyn) of Milltown, IN, and Samuel C. (Sam) Pitman of Depauw, IN; brother, Jerry Summers (Sharon) of Louisville, KY; sister, Ruth Ann Graves (Dave) of Sellersburg, IN; and her granddaughter, Madison Pitman of Milltown, IN.

A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date, due to Covid-19.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
