Rex Wayne Crecelius

Rex Wayne Crecelius, 61, of Marengo, Indiana died on January 11, 2021 at Baptist Health-Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born on December 21, 1959 in Paoli, Indiana to Vivian J. (Rizer) Crecelius and the late Leon K. Crecelius Sr.  

He was a former tree trimmer.  He enjoyed hunting squirrel, deer, raccoon, and trapping beaver.  He loved to fish, and digging yellowroot and ginseng.  He also enjoyed hunting morel mushrooms.

He is survived by his wife, April Dawn Crecelius; his mother, Vivian J. Crecelius; his son, Joseph Crecelius; daughters, Elizabeth James and Sara Brown; step-daughter, ShiLee Rose Devore; brothers, Leon K. Crecelius Jr. and Joe Crecelius; sister, Janie Miller, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Batman Ridge Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m.

Rev. Philo Jones will officiate the service.
