Rita K. Edwards

Rita K. Edwards, 80, of New Albany, Indiana died on January 17, 2026 at her residence.  Rita was born on June 20, 1945 in Milltown, Indiana to the late Emmajean Edwards.

Rita was a former bank teller at Federal Reserve Bank in Louisville, Kentucky and was a Christian believer of the Methodist Faith.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Rita is survived by her cousins who also were her caregivers, Theresa and Michelle Edwards and a caregiver, Sarah Borgemenke and numerous other cousins.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Milltown Christian Church, 214 E. Main Street, Milltown, Indiana 47145.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 3:00 p.m., at the church.

Interment will be in the Milltown Cemetery.
